The Next “Be Still and Know God” Retreat
  June 7-9, 2013

“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”   Mk 6:31
The single most important aspect of our life as Christians is our ongoing personal relationship with our heavenly Father.  Jesus died that we might have access to the presence of God once again, just as Adam and Eve experienced in the garden. Supernatural encounters with the Spirit of God should be the expectation of every believer.  However, our lives are so busy that we rarely slow down long enough to intentionally turn our gaze toward Him and acknowledge His presence with us.  Neglect of intentional time alone with Jesus ultimately leads to an inability to hear His voice, burnout and fruitless ministry as we work out of our own strength instead of His power and presence.

The Prayer Center at St. Christopher offers weekend retreats called “Be Still and Know God”.  It’s a time to slow down and be with the Lord simply because of who He is; to enjoy Him and listen for His voice.  Whether you are in full-time ministry and needing to reconnect or just recognize your need to encounter the Presence, these retreats are designed to help you keep your first love…your first love. The retreat runs Friday - Sunday and is designed to create an environment that enables silence, solitude and prayer in order to connect more deeply with the presence of God.

Join us for a weekend and let us help you to slow down, take a deep breath and encounter the Spirit of God.  See below to download a registration form.  Call Elizabeth at 843-768-0429 for more information.

What Others are Saying…

“Worship, soaking prayer, times of silence combined with the splendor of St. Christopher was refreshing, invigorating, cleansing and  healing.”      Rev. John Burley, St. Andrew’s

“I felt the sweet Spirit of the Lord. How wonderful the whole time was... being still and quiet in such a beautiful place. I want to come back, hopefully with my husband.”  Debbie Strippling, James Island Christian

“It took nearly the whole retreat, but I was finally broken and humbled before our mighty God and I saw Him for the sovereign, Holy, Worthy God He is and I experienced His love and mercy for me and I fell in love with Him again.”      Linda Tully, St. Helena’s Beaufort

“I deliberately chose to attend “Be Still” because I need to be intentional about spending quality time, set apart for my relationship with Jesus where I am not out to accomplish something. Nothing needs to be said, there’s just grace and beauty in being consciously together and yet something happens... the noise, clutter and chaos from the daily demands of life are silenced, cleansed and stilled and I see and experience the beauty of just being together. ”  Rev. Rick Luoni, St. George’s
