Do you want to be a part of all of the excitement next summer at Camp St. Christopher? Do you love Jesus? Are you ready to serve? Well, we need your help!
There are three types of positions we are looking for: staff, interns and counselors. In all of these you will have many opportunities to make a huge difference in the life of the campers and grow in your own walk with the Lord.
Counselors generally come for between one and three weeks on a volunteer basis (i.e. there is no pay!). You will stay in the cabins with a group of kids and be an assistant to the staff member in your cabin.
Staff members are mostly of college age and are hired for the entire summer to oversee the entire production. They live in cabins for two-thirds of the summer and run all of our activities and some of our teaching program.
Internships are offered on a limited basis to people who are graduating High School in the spring of 2010. It is an in-between step from being a counselor to being a staff member. It involves less up-front ministry than a typical staff member, but a lot more responsibility than a counselor. Click here for more information.
All three of these positions will get you plenty wet and give you a place to minister to kids and to be mentored as well. Applications will be posted here in November, so please come back at that time to fill one out! If you have questions please contact Joe Gibson, our Director of Student Ministries at .
Age Requirements: Counselors need to be at least 16 years old by summer 2010. Camp staff members need to be at least 19 years old by summer 2010, or have graduated High School in 2009.
Training Requirements: Counselors need to be able to attend a Counselor Training Overnight in the Spring (April 16/17 or May 14/15). Staff need to be able to show up at staff training on Wednesday afternoon, May 19, and come Lifeguard certified.
Applications
Applications for all positions are closed for Summer 2010. Please come back in late November to apply for Summer 2011.
