Do you yearn for adventure or a deep and meaningful encounter with the Lord? Join Outdoor Encounters for a weekend on a wilderness kayak trip. Our goal is to help you encounter God through nature as you stretch yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.
We believe wilderness trips are a metaphor for how God has called Christians to live. God calls us to something more: a life filled with purpose, adventure and community; a life filled with the awesome presence of God. In order to escape the everyday, we must take risks; step out of our comfort zone and step into a life filled with adventure.
We offer adventures for all skill levels and tailor to the needs, desires and abilities of each group. Outdoor Encounters provides adequate training, gear and food for the duration of the trip. Excursions are ideal for 6-10 people; a great bonding experience for youth, church small groups, and even corporate teams. We accept individuals depending on availability and interest. We invite high school age and older if kayaking without additional adult supervision. We can also develop special trips for parents and kids over the age of 12.
3 Day/2Night or 2 Day/1 Night Trips may be reserved according to availability.
Meals: We will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, along with a few snacks in the backcountry. The trip ends with a nice meal back at the St. Christopher dining hall on the final evening.
Arrival/Departure: Groups should plan on arriving the afternoon of their trip. The trip will finish after dinner the last night of their trip.
