Laurinda Rapp
Laurinda began her adventure at St. Christopher as a Naturalist in August 2009, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Indiana Wesleyan University. From 2009-2011 she worked with the Barrier Island program and started Outdoor Encounters, in hopes of helping people connect with the outdoors and with their Creator. After living in Australia as a missionary for 8 years, she returned to St. Christopher in January of 2020 to lead the Barrier Island program. She has a passion for working with and discipling young adults.
On her time off, you can find her adventuring to a new place, or hiking down a new path. Laurinda has a cat named Captain Jack who enjoys getting wet, cuddling, and taking frequent naps.
Favorite place on campus?
Laurinda’s favorite place on campus is also where she sees God at St. Christopher. She enjoys going down to Crab Dock, on the edge of the forest, in the middle of the marsh, anytime of the day. She feels the Lord’s peace and sees his beauty at the dock. To her, that place feels untouched by most of the world, it feels like it’s been preserved for special moments. She has so many fond memories of camping, bonfires, star gazing, and late-night swims that glow with bioluminescence.
