Meg Cutshall

Originally from central Pennsylvania, Meg comes to St. Christopher with years of camping ministry experience at Wesley Forest Camp and Retreat Center, in the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church. A product of the camping and retreat ministry experience, Meg brings with her a passion for youth and young adult ministry, a broad range of professional experience, and immense excitement to be joining the team at St. Christopher. Meg first fell in love with camp life as an elementary camper and has been hooked ever since. While studying at Seton Hill University, Meg found a home working at camp on summer staff, and shortly after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Global Studies and Pre Law Studies, discerned a call to ministry. Meg has served in various roles at Wesley Forest including as a Ministry Resident and Summer Program Coordinator. In her free time, you’ll most often find Meg in and around any water she can find- swimming, boating, and fishing! Meg and her mini dachshund, Toby Keith, are thrilled to be heading south to St. Christopher!

Where do you see God at St. Christopher?

I believe deeply in the power of “places set apart”—those rare, sacred spaces where the distractions of daily life fall away and people can truly listen for God’s voice. I have seen that St. Christopher is exactly that kind of place: a setting where kids can unplug, be themselves, form lasting friendships, and experience God through the beauty of creation all around them. From the chapels to the beach, and everywhere in between, I’m excited to see God working in the lives of the campers at St. Christopher.

What is your favorite place on campus?

Even in the short time I’ve spent onsite, I’ve fallen in love with the natural beauty of the land at St. Christopher. It’s evident that this land is holy ground, used to share the light and love of Christ. From the marsh to the maritime forest, and especially the breathtaking sunrises over the beach, I see each part of this landscape as a reflection of God’s glory. Standing in awe of a sunrise at camp is a powerful reminder that the same Creator who painted the sky with light also carefully and lovingly created each one of us.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

My favorite verse is Isaiah 6:8. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here I am. Send me!’
